Today's Thought

Real beauty isn't about symmetry or weight or makeup; it's about looking life right in the face and seeing all its magnificence reflected in your own.

Hate Cardio … but not today

Tom has written about the cardio woes before, and I too am one of those people that just dreads doing cardio work. Don’t get me wrong, I dutifully run, step, spin, and Arc most days of the week, but out of necessity for good health and well-being, not because I love it.

I have just had my 49th birthday and suddenly I am overwhelmed with so many feelings that I am not able to even put them in print. I feel this urgency to do something, but I am not sure what it is! I feel lost like the Robinson's on Lost in Space. I don't know what my purpose here is or if I even have a purpose here. This is a scary time for me, but anxiety and fear causes action so it must be what I need to feel at this time to get me to the place where I need to be.

What Do You Do To Feel Your Best?

I feel my best when I am in balance. Given the hectic lives we all lead that is sometimes next to impossible. When I know I am challenged in the balance end of things I make certain to eat very well, get rest and exercise.

Breakfast is a given for me. I also try and be sure to have healthy snacks in between meals. An apple and a handful of raw almonds is perfect for me. What's the old adage... Eat like a Queen in the morning, a Princess in the afternoon and a Pauper in the evening ... I think i… Continue
